Jizzle James, Cincinnati's leading scorer last season, is back on the roster, coach Wes Miller announced Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3 junior guard was dismissed from the Bearcats this summer in what Miller called a 'personal matter.'
He is expected to play Wednesday when Cincinnati (6-4) hosts Alabama State (3-7).
Miller made no additional comments about the reinstatement.
James sat on the bench Saturday as Cincinnati lost 84-65 at home against Georgia.
James, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Edgerrin James, was projected to be one of the top players in the Big 12 in 2025-26 after being named All-Big 12 honorable mention last spring.
He averaged 12.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and a team-high 3.5 assists in 35 games (all starts) in 2024-25.
He was a four-star prospect and ranked No. 60 overall in the Class of 2023, per the 247Sports composite.
This season, Day Day Thomas and Baba Miller currently lead the Bearcats in scoring with 13.3 points each.
