Premium Members of Barking Backers and their furry friends turned CrossCountry Mortgage Campus into a dog park

Barking Backers, the Cleveland Browns Official Fan Club for Dogs, presented by Milk-Bone and in association with Embrace Pet Insurance and Pet Supplies Plus, hosted their second annual Turf & Tails event on June 22.

Premium members of Barking Backers were invited to bring their furry friends to CrossCountry Mortgage Campus and unleash the fun on the field. In a designated area of the practice fields, dogs were given the chance to be off leash to run and play with various toys scattered around the fields.

Stationed around the practice fields, the pups also were treated to a treat giveaway from Milk-Bone and pup-sicles from Pet Supplies Plus, while their human counterparts enjoyed food from the Sugardale food truck.

Other stations contributed mementos for the guests to bring home following the event. A caricature artist, provided by Embrace Pet Insurance, drew portraits of the dogs. ForeverLawn brought a turf wall decked out in summer decor for attendees to take photos in front of and raffled off one-of-a-kind K9 Hammocks made from their K9 Grass. Rescue Inn Charity had a "Wheel of Magic" prize wheel. Tito's Handmade Vodka was also represented by their Vodka for Dog People program, an initiative formed to help pets and support the human and animal bond, with giveaways for dogs and their guests.

As guests entered the practice fields, they were encouraged to donate a paper towel roll. And through the generous donations of Barking Backer members, they collected 213 paper towel rolls, which will be donated to various non-profit animal shelters. Attendees also had an opportunity to make a cash monetary donation and receive a dog-themed gift. Through the donation, Barking Backers raised $635 and all the proceeds from the doghouse sale will benefit Austin Pets Alive!

Turf & Tails was a free event for premium members of Barking Backers who registered for a 50-minute time slot. Barking Backers will host two more events this season, Howl-O-Ween (Fall 2025) and Jingle Paws (Winter 2025), which will be open to all members of Barking Backers.
