L.A. manufacturer narrows plant search to three cities

A manufacturer that has licensed ignition technology developed at West Virginia University is looking to build a factory in either Pittsburgh, Cleveland or Detroit.
Los Angeles-based American Plasma Energy Group announced Tuesday it had narrowed its search to those three cities for a 100,000-square-foot facility for assembly and distribution and about 500 jobs. APEG plans to make a decision on the plant by June, start construction this summer and be operational by the end of the year.
